Inventory Management | In-Country

ODS has successfully implemented several Inventory Management Programs in different countries in Latin America as well as North America. Our focus is to work with our customer to adequately equip an inventory operation in support of a Field Managed Services Program. Our Consigned Inventory Management Program consists of:

  • Understand our customer's hardware installed base
  • Utilize Statistical Field Failure Data
  • Recomend an appropriate level of Spares
  • Assist in the Procurement of the Spares as needed
  • Repair/Refurbish customer's existing surplus hardware to be used as spares as applicable
  • Provide assistance in related Logistics activities to bring inventory in-Country
  • Generate and maintain any user-defined Inventory Reports (by Serial Number and otherwise)
  • Coordinate the Shipping and Receiving of spares within-country as they are used in the Field
  • Record any Field Swaps to maintain Serial Number Integrity
  • Provide Spares Usage reports and monitor Safety Stocks

Warehousing | Storage

As part of our Inventory Management Program, a Safe In-Country Storage will be provided for any Consigned Spares made available by the customer in support of our Desktop Managed Services. Depending on the geography and volume of calls, we will make recommendations to strategically place more than one stocking location In-Country, where stricter SLAs must be met.

Hot Swaps Program

Similarly to our typical Inventory Management Program described above, ODS will work with our customers to set up a Hot Swaps Program for those instances where for one reason or the other, a full-blown on-site Service Project may not be (geographically or otherwise) feasible but there is still a need to service equipment and guarantee a certain level of Up-Time. Understanding our customers' needs is paramount to guarantee success. We want to discuss your situation in more detail and starting with this diagram, we can then define a Scope of Work that better fits your environment:
