Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
FAQ01 I am getting paper jams in the thermal print module. What do I do?
If coupons are jamming in the thermal print module, check and/or replace the following:

  • Obstruction in the coupon path
  • Defective coupon sensor
  • Cable Connector J10 (Sensor cable) not properly seated on the thermal interface PWB.
  • Proper belt tension on belt at rear of thermal print module. Poor tension may be due to damaged belt or broken or missing tensioning spring.
  • Defective drive motor.
If drive motor not turning properly, check the following:

  • Cable from Thermal Print Module not correctly seated on connector J12 on the Thermal Interface PWB.
  • Cable connector J10 (Sensor cable) not properly seated on Thermal Interface PWB
  • Cable from J07 on the motherboard to J07 on the interface board not properly seated
  • Defective PCU PWB
  • Defective Thermal Interface

Please, refer to your user manual for further assistance.

FAQ02 I am getting an error in the LCD screen that says "ATB Stock Low". What I am suppose to do?
This message indicates that the printer has less than 100 ATB coupons remaining in its input bins. Be prepared to load ATB stock when it runs out.

FAQ03 When there is an error in the LCD screen saying "Buffer Overflow, Press Ready/Wait or Call Helpdesk", What do I do?
You will find this error if the printer's buffer received data while it was full. Press the [Ready/Wait] button. If several buffer overflows occur, it may be an indication of a cable or configuration problem.

FAQ04 I had some coupon jams in the past. When I get one, the LCD screen shows messages like "Clear Jam:Zone A", "Clear Jam:Zone B", "Clear Jam:Zone A", and so forth. Where are the different zones located?
To fix any of these errors, just remove the jammed coupon(s).

  • When you get a Zone A message, that means a coupon is jammed in the manual insert slot.
  • Zone B means there is a coupon jammed near the burster.
  • Zone C, the jammed took place at the drive assembly (between the burster and the shuttle).
  • Zone D, the coupon jammed in the shuttle.
  • Zone E, the coupon jammed in the printer module.
  • Zone F, the coupon jammed in the stacker.

FAQ05 When I get a message that says "Expected FF, Press Read/Wait", why do I get it?
This messages indicates that the printer has filled its internal coupon buffers, but has not received a Form Feed character.

The printer requires a form feed to print a page. Pressing the [Read/Wait] key will cause the buffer to be purged (not printed), and the printer to return to a [Ready] state.
