The 8900 Series printers are designed to stand up reliably in all types of heavy-duty work environments. A straight paper-path makes jams almost non-existent and forms processing very reliable. A heavy monthly duty cycle of over 16,000 pages per month makes these printers some of the most rugged in their class.	The 8900 printers, both the Models 8920 and 8930, offer a full range of speed and quality selections from 100 character per second (cps) near-letter quality to 600 cps at 15 characters per inch. An 18-pin, user-replaceable printhead provides crisp printing on 6- to 9-part forms (within TI specs). Forms intensive design with straight paper path, zero tearoff, form-finder and auto thickness adjustment.
Main Differences between the TI 8920 and 8930
The Model 8920 is designed for business operations that need to print only continuous feed documents. The Model 8930 has all the features of the 8920; in addition, it has a Z-axis sensor and a friction feed path that allows letters, business reports, color charts and more. The 8930 model works with color ribbon cartridges to give sharp color presentations.
