Overview	Print Features
The Texas Instruments Models 875 and 877 are 24-pin high performance impact printers. The 875 is a narrow carriage, 80-column model, while the 877 is a wide carriage, 136-column version. Offering the flexibility of three printers in one, the Models 875/877 are designed to be reliable printers designed to cover a full range of printing requirements. The flexible paper handling, modular design, standard 24-pin printhead, and proven field reliability contribute to the versatility of these printers.	The TI 875/877 color printers offer 3 distinct print speeds for maximum flexibility: The high speed draft print mode (240 cps) to provide fast copy for report and data processing applications. The high density print mode (120 cps) for office automation requirements. The fast letter-quality print mode (80 cps) for formal memos and business letters Quiet operation. Their low noise level, less than 55 dBA, allows the Models 875/877 to fit well in any environment.
Paper Handling	Setup and Maintenance
The 875/877 offer multiple paper paths to meet a wide variety of office printing needs. Straight bottom-feed paper path Rear-feed paper path Single sheet insert capability The 875/877 also feature a paper parking capability, to change quickly and easily between single sheet, letterhead, and continuous-feed report paper. The continuous-feed paper can be backed out of the paper path and automatically "parked" in the lower tractors, enabling single sheets to be inserted. Then, just as easily, the continuous-feed paper can be quickly realigned and made ready for printing.	The 875/877 have a modular design, with pluggable fonts (to offer a variety of font styles), modular interface cartridges (parallel or serial ports), and snap-in carriage mount ribbon cartridges. Compatibility. The 875/877 printers provide a standard parallel interface. They also use industry-standard escape sequences that are compatible with virtually all types of systems and software for printing and graphics. Reliability. The Models 875/877 are designed to standards (robust mechanical parts and proven electronics) that help ensure low field failure rate.
