With capabilities for both data processing and letter quality printing applications, the Texas Instruments Models 855 and 865 dual mode dot matrix printers offers an exceptional value by providing this dual functionality in a single unit. And, following the tradition of the OMNI 800 family of printers, which includes the industry standard Models TI 810 and TI 850, the TI 855 is designed to the highest criteria of performance and reliability. The TI 855 is a narrow-carriage, 80-column model, while the TI 865 printer is a 16" wide-carriage, 136-column version.	The TI 855/865 printers feature unique TI font modules which function as electronic daisywheels when letter quality printing is needed. Multiple modules can be used while printing and selection of draft and letter quality font styles is made at the touch of a button. Incorporating industry standard escape sequences and interfaces, the TI 855/865 printers are compatible with virtually all desk-top computer systems as well as third-party word and data processing software.
Paper Handling	Setup and Maintenance
The TI 855/865 feature a versatile paper handling. All types of paper can be loaded into the TI 855/865, as easily as a typewriter. Optional snap-in tractors and a patented friction drive give you vertical alignment for continuous forms. Unlike fixed-pin methods, the tractors are fully adjustable to allow for horizontal registration as well. Also, the 855/865's close tear-off feature minimizes form and paper waste.	The TI 855/865 is known for being easy to use, setup and maintain. The operator control panel, located on top of the printer, places the most frequently used controls at your fingertips. Font choice, print quality method, character pitch and line spacing are all button selectable. The 855/865 also provide online form/paper advance and easy online compressed print selection, as well as snap-in ribbons for added convenience.
