The TI Models 850 XL and 860XL printers are members of the OMNI 800 TM family of high performance, compact microprinters, engineered and built by Texas Instruments. Designed with ease of use and compatibility in mind, the 850XL/860 XL will help meet the printing needs of many computer and workstation users. The TI 850XL is a narrow-carriage, 80-column model, while the TI 860XL is a 16" wide-carriage, 136-column version.	The Models 850XL and 860XL provide the printing flexibility of fast draft document throughput, correspondence-quality printing, and graphics. The paper handling flexibility is outstanding and every feature on the 850XL/860XL is easy to learn and use. It uses industry standard control codes and is compatible with the IBM PC and virtually all major PCs. The Models 850XL/860 will complement your computers or workstations and will help improve overall system performance.

The TI 850XL / 860XL provide both serial and parallel standard interfaces for easy connectivity to various types of hosts: Serial EIA RS-232-C subset with 7 or 8 bits, ready/busy signal Serial transmission rates from 200 to 9600 baud Industry-standard "Centronics-type" parallel, with 1000 cps, strobe acknowledge 256 character buffer, with an optional 4K buffer
