Print Features

The Okidata Microline Models 320 (narrow-carriage, 80-column) and 321 (wide-carriage, 136-column) Turbo are 9-pin dot matrix printers, improving print speed compared to the 320/321 former generation. Handling up to 6-part forms, its performance comes from the rugged printhead design (200-million character life). A lighter, stronger, more efficient motor reduces friction, heat build-up and wear. The long-lasting rack and pinion drive system ensures print quality longer than belt or cable systems. Plus, an impact-resistant chassis protects the entire mechanism, even in the harshest environments. Similar to the Texas Instruments Model TI 930 / 935.

With enhanced paper-handling capabilities, the ML320/321 Turbo can be set with an expanded gap between printhead and platen, accommodating very thick multi-part forms and stock, as a bottom feed feature keeps the paper path short and straight. The enhanced printhead has a lightweight samarium cobalt magnet and powerful, spring-activated pins to print on up-to 6-part forms. For precise output, an optical sensor accurately positions the printhead on the page. And the auto-tear positions continuous forms for a clean tear at the perforation, eliminating wasted forms. Software and ribbon compatible with former ML320/321.
