Overview	Functions and Modules
The IER 801 reader provides a modular and flexible solution, combining E-ticketing, ATB or barcode applications (IER 801 BC) for boarding gate operations. All the reading and writing functions of ATB coupons are incorporated in one single compact machine the IER 801. The IER 801 handles multiple media at boarding gates: frequent flyer cards, credit cards, ATB boarding pass, barcoded boarding pass (IER 801 BC).	Motorized module for reading of all cards, ISO 7816 compliant. ATB reader and coupon marker module for all standard document sizes: 7"3/8 and 8" ATB coupons, wallets and boarding stubs. Barcode laser scanner (IER 801 BC). Front keypad to enter passenger PIN codes or any additional travel information. Multiple 20 character displays, optional receipt printer to print flight information.
Open and Reliable Architecture
The reader is fully driven by applications from an external, PC type, workstation. The IER 801 is compatible with major kinds of smart cards and ATB standards and has the capability to easily adapt to their further evolutions. The IER 801 BC reads the major barcodes of the industry (Code 128, Code 39, Interleaved 2 of 5, UPC/EAN/JAN, EAN 128, Codabar). The IER 801 is designed for reliable, long-lasting performance in high-use conditions.
