The IER 457 Boarding Pass Printer is dedicated to ticketing, checking, boarding and financial operations in the ATB environment. Flexible, the IER 457 incorporates 4-track magnetic encoding-decoding of ATB coupons and a high-resolution thermal transfer print technology, for both speed (3s processing time for an average ATB coupon) and quality. Upgradable, the IER 457 supports downloading data to make cost-effective customizations. Designed for reliable, long-lasting performance in high-use conditions, the IER 457 has a low operating cost.
Printing Capabilities	Paper Handling
The IER 457 produces a full range of alpha-numeric characters of variable width and dot-addressable graphics at a speed of up to 4 inches/second. To further personalize the check-in coupon, the IER 457 also offers you the option of printing a software -triggered color mark - one color out of four choices - on the top of a each document. Other options include support for driving an IER 411 Bag Tag Printer on a single line of communication and the ability to provide full ATB ticketing support by using the IER 457's extended downline loading capabilities.	The IER 457 comes equipped with dual paper-input modes - continuous fanfold documents fed from the rear and front feeding of single documents. In either mode, it fully supports and easily handles individual ATB coupons or ATB wallets. In addition, it offers the ability to speed through group check-ins with an automatic document loader and stacker which are capable of holding up to 50 coupons each. The IER 457 accommodates reversible, multi-strike cassettes and minimizes ribbon consumption because its special head-raising feature prevents ribbon advance over blank document areas.
