Overview	Print Modes
Serial impact, heavy-duty dot-matrix printer, and featuring an 18-pin printhead, the Genicom GE 3404 is suitable for high-speed, draft-quality data processing, NLQ printing on single sheets, or graphics. Can also print in multicolor (up to 7 colors), various barcodes and multiple fonts. Paper handling is enhanced by the capability to feed single sheets with optional automatic sheet feeders (single or dual) or an optional single document inserter.	The GE 3404 offers draft-quality data processing print speeds between 180 and 400cps, with accurate and reliable operation for medium to heavy duty cycle environments. The 3404 also offers near letter quality (NLQ) print, with speeds between 45 and 100cps. High resolution graphics are standard, dot-addressable up to 144 x 144 dpi (H x V), to produce line, block and character graphics.

4 Print Modes: Bold, proportional spacing, automatic underscore and expanded (doublewide) characters. 4 Character Styles: Draft, microdraft, near letter quality and micro near letter quality. 5 Character Pitches: 10, 12, 13.1, 15, and 16.7 CPI, remotely adjustable from 9.6 to 18 CPI. 16 National Character Sets. 56 Print Style/Mode Combinations. Dot-Addressable Graphics: Up to 144 x 144 DPI (H x V) with 6-pin addressing.	System Compatibility: Conforms to ANSI X3.64 escape sequences, standard RS-232C serial interface. Operator Convenience: Front control panel, menu printout of parameters and settings, self test diagnostics, mode/fault alphanumeric display, long-life easy loading ribbon cartridge, dual serial and parallel interface connectors. Flexible Paper Handling: Wide print line, tractor-feed with friction roller system. Universal Power Supply: 85-132 or 170-264 VAC, 48 to 65 Hz.
