| Why should I choose a refurbished equipment verses new equipment?

If a comprehensive reconditioning process is in place, such as ISO 9001, the buyer can be sure that they are receiving quality equipment. In the tough Travel market, refurbished equipment makes perfect sense to maximize your investment dollar, while minimizing your expense and risk.
| Where is the best place to start investigating reliable equipment options?

By consulting your CRS Sales Representative, they will provide you with the requirements for their software, and a list of approved products. At Omni Data Systems we provide approved products for the four major CRS companies.
| When my equipment arrives, will it be plug and play?
|
To the greatest extent possible, Omni Data Systems will configure all equipment to your CRS specifications prior to on-site delivery. Omni Data Systems will provide an "Open Me First" card with all equipment that will simplify the set up of each component. However, each new component will have an impact on the total systems operation, and will need to be properly integrated.
| Does Omni Data Systems offer installation services?

Omni Data Services offers a Back to Depot warranty service, and our service partner offers installation as well as other on-site services. Refer to our Maintenance Options for more information.
| Do I need a "Systems Integrator"?
|
Depending on the size and scope of your network configuration, it is recommended that someone act in the capacity of "Systems Integrator" to fit all of the pieces of your network together seamlessly.
| What are the typical parts that I will need to replace on my system?
|
Some items such as print heads will need to be replaced periodically depending on the usage. Other components such as rollers, gears, o-rings, and wearable items should be replaced in concordance with a printer and PC maintenance schedule.
| When I have a technical issue or problem, how do I get help?
|
In all cases, your inquiry should be to your application software provided by your CRS. The CRS help desk will provide assistance in determining the course of action to address the problem. As appropriate, a second level of support from the Hardware or Maintenance Provider will determine the exact problem and solution.
| Can you support my existing legacy hardware?
|
Yes. Omni Data Systems can apply our refurbishment expertise to your existing network hardware to create a like "new" environment, and then fully support it.
| Can I trade in my legacy printer for a newly refurbished one?
|
Depending on the model, condition, and market variables, Omni Data Systems will issue a trade-in credit to be applied towards your purchase.
