In case of a GDS platform, the printer is usually directly controlled by a Host Print Manager or Print Server, without the need of a Windows Driver. All ATB / BTP printers will have to be handled by the application (proper pectabs and control codes).

For other applications (non-ticketing), the Windows Generic Text Only driver (built-it the Windows operating system) can be used. Refer to this support document for installation instructions.

For more sophisticated needs, a full featured text driver for windows can be necessary.
